Biography
Xiangjun Ma is Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Liaoning University and Vice Dean of its China Economic Research Institute, and also serves as Vice Chair of the Liaoning International Taxation Association.
Research areas are international trade, applied microeconomics, multinational corporations and international taxation, and the political economy of trade policy. Published work includes an article in the Journal of International Economics as well as papers in Economic Research Journal and other leading Chinese and international journals; a working paper was selected for the NBER cover.
Degrees are a bachelor's from Renmin University of China and a master's and PhD from the University of Virginia. Previous roles include Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at the University of International Business and Economics, visiting scholar at the University of Virginia and at the National School of Development at Peking University, economist and manager at Deloitte Tax, and a secondment to China's Ministry of Commerce.
