School, specializing in organisation studies, digital convergence, and the socio-cultural drivers of innovation and entrepreneurship. Since joining Kent Business School in July 2012, Professor Soo Hee Lee has emerged as a leading scholar in organisation studies. His distinguished
academic journey is enriched by prior positions at institutions such as Birkbeck, Cass Business School, and the University of Sheffield, as well as visiting appointments at renowned establishments like the University of Science and Technology of China, KAIST, and ESSEC Business School. This diverse
background reflects his global perspective on organisational
research.
Research Focus and Contributions Professor Lee’s
research examines the institutional and behavioural foundations of strategy and innovation. He explores how knowledge, trust, and power influence organisational dynamics. Initially, his work concentrated on emerging economies and multinational entrepreneurship; more
recently, he has expanded his investigations to encompass digital convergence and creativity across sectors such as architecture, fashion, visual art, and dance.
Academic Publishing and
Editorial Roles Actively engaged in
academic publishing, Professor Lee serves on the
editorial boards of Technological Forecasting and Social Change and Global Transitions . He also contributes to the scientific committee of the International Conference of Social Theory, Politics and the Arts, reinforcing his role in shaping scholarly discourse.
Teaching and Future Directions His
teaching portfolio spans courses on creativity and innovation in organisations, leadership,
research methods for HRM, and theory generation.
