Biography

Pervez N. Ghauri is Professor of International Business at Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham.

He completed his PhD at Uppsala University in Sweden, where he also taught for several years, and subsequently held chairs in International Business at Manchester Business School and King's College London. He is the founding Editor of International Business Review and a Consulting Editor of the Journal of International Business Studies.

His research covers firm internationalisation and entry strategies, multinational enterprises in emerging markets, the impact of MNEs on local development and poverty reduction, corporate social responsibility, and international business negotiations. He has published more than 150 journal articles. In 2024 he received an award for Exceptional Service to the Management Field Worldwide.
