Biography
Jing Zhang is Professor in the Department of Management at the Strome College of Business, Old Dominion University, where she has been a faculty member since 2012.
Her research addresses technological innovation, knowledge management and entrepreneurship, with particular interest in social networks, entrepreneurial financing, and venture capital investment in China and worldwide. She has published in Entrepreneurship: Theory and Practice, the Journal of Business Venturing, the Journal of Corporate Finance, the Journal of Management, the Journal of Management Studies, Research Policy and the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal.
She holds a PhD in Business Policy from the National University of Singapore (2004) and is a Certified Public Accountant. She previously worked at Iowa State University, City University London, Lancaster University and Legend (Lenovo) in Beijing. She received the Strome College of Business Summer Research Award in 2018 and was a finalist for the 2017 OMT Best Entrepreneurship Paper Award at the Academy of Management Conference.
