Biography

Anu Puusa is Professor of Management at the UEF Business School, University of Eastern Finland, where she also serves as deputy head of department.

Her research addresses co-operatives — their dual nature, governance and management — alongside expert organisations, organisational change, organisational identity and organisational citizenship behaviour. She has published five textbooks and numerous journal articles, and her TED talk makes the case for co-operative business ownership.

She was invited to the International Co-operative Alliance advisory group on the global development of co-operative identity, and serves on the boards of Cooperatives Europe, the Pellervo Coop Center and Pohjois-Karjalan Osuuskauppa. In 2016 she received the National Finnish Business School Graduates teaching award.
